Jump Rope for Heart

posted Apr 3, 2013, 6:25 AM by Ryan Smith

The A-H-S-T Elementary has kicked off another year of "Jump Rope for Heart". Students are fundraising for the American Heart Association. Students were given their packets to take home before Easter/Spring Break and will begin "Jump Rope for Heart" the week of April 15th-19th. That week the K-6 graders will participate in various activities and games helping understand the importance of having a healthy heart in support of the American Heart Association. The last day to raise money is the April 19th, there are individual, class and school prizes.
Mr. Harris: "It should be a fun and educational week for the students. This is my first year directing a "Jump Rope for Heart" and a really excited to see the impact our kids can have on such a wonderful cause. The statistics say only $50 saves one life! How many lives can we save?"
