On Saturday, May 5, the A-H-S-T High School Baseball team competed in its own Hit, Run, and Throw competition. The purpose of the competition was to assess the players in the three categories. In the hitting part, players were given 10 balls to hit off of the pitching machine and were scored according to the quality of the hit. The top three performers in hitting were Christian Danker, Lee Whyte, and Jake Larson. For the running portion of the competition they ran a 60-yard dash. The top three fastest times were run by Ben Jacobsen, Austin Fink, and Tyler Robinson. The throwing part was based on distance and accuracy with the top three performers of Kyle Bauerkemper, John Quist, and Jake Larson. Total points were kept throughout the competition. The top 5 participants overall (in order) were Jake Larson, John Quist, Christian Danker, Lee Whyte, and Kyle Bauerkemper.
